American Chemical Society Publications

Description

Time-span: Varies by journal - Volume 1, Issue 1 in most cases.

The full-text of articles in the American Chemical Society journals may be searched and displayed at this site. A special feature, ASAP, (Articles as Soon as Published) offers early access to articles scheduled to appear later in the printed journals. Several ACS titles that focus on news and current events are also listed here but are not available in full text. However, table of contents can be displayed for these titles. ACS journals publish articles in every area of the chemical sciences: chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, pharmacy--to name only a few of the broad categories. Dates of coverage vary with each title.

Description

ASM Alloy Center

Description

ASM Handbooks Online

The CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics is a basic reference book for chemical and physical data. Material is updated and revised and new material included in each annual. IEEE Xplore

Description

Time span: 1884 - present

IEEE Xplore is a digital library providing full text access to technical literature in electrical engineering, computer science, electronics, and related disciplines. IEEE Xplore includes full text documents from IEEE journals, transactions, magazines, letters, conference proceedings, IET (Institution of Engineering and Technology) publications, and select AIP/AVS journals. IEEE journals, transactions, letters, and magazines are available in IEEE Xplore from 1988 with select content back to 1913. In addition to current IEEE conference proceedings, users have access to the IEEE Conference Proceedings Archive Complete Set, covering 1936 to 1999. Via IEEE Xplore, the IEEE Journal Archive provides full-text perpetual access to more than 100 years of IEEE legacy content from leading IEEE journals and magazines published between 1884 and 1999. Includes perpetual access to Bell Labs Technical Journal back to 1922. Smart grid research and research documents were purchased and added to IEEE Xplore in 2015. (Updated daily)

Description

Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI.GOV)

Description

OSTI.GOV is the primary search tool for Department of Energy (DOE) science, technology, and engineering research and development results and the organizational hub for information about the DOE Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI). The site consolidates OSTI's homepage and the office's now retired primary search tool SciTech Connect.

Optica Publishing Group

Description

Time-span: Varies by journal - Volume 1, Issue 1 in most cases.

Optica Publishing Group's full text repository of both current and past volumes of all its journals including Applied Optics, Journal of Lightwave Technology, Journal of Near Infrared Spectroscopy, and no longer published journals such as Journal of Display Technology. It also contains recent proceedings from OSA conferences such as Optics for Solar Energy, and Laser Applications to Chemical, Security and Environmental Analysis.

ProQuest SciTech Premium (with Aerospace)

Description

Time span: 1962-present

The SciTech Premium and Advanced Technologies Database with Aerospace provides bibliographic coverage of research, emerging technologies, applications and companies in the areas of aeronautics, astronautics, computer & information technology, electronics, communications, solid state devices, and space sciences. From theoretical research through to practical applications. The database covers aerospace engineering, space exploration, computer science, electronics, telecommunications, and physics. The subfiles that make up this database can be searched separately and include: Aerospace Database, Computer and Information Systems Abstracts, Electronics and Communications Abstracts, and Solid State and Superconductivity Abstracts.  ProQuest Deep Indexing: Advanced Technologies supplements the database with access to millions of indexed charts, figures, graphs, maps, satellite images, and tables from the scholarly research and technical literature. PubMed

Description

Time-span: 1950 - present

PubMed, developed by the National Library of Medicine (NLM), provides free access to MEDLINE, a database of more than 11 million bibliographic citations and abstracts from nearly 4,500 journals in the fields of medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, pharmacy, allied health, health care systems, and pre-clinical sciences. PubMed also contains links to the full-text versions of articles at participating publishers' Web sites. In addition, PubMed provides access and links to the integrated molecular biology databases maintained by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI). These databases contain DNA and protein sequences, 3-D protein structure data, population study data sets, and assemblies of complete genomes in an integrated system. Additional NLM bibliographic databases, such as AIDSLINE, are being added to PubMed. PubMed includes "Old Medline." Old Medline covers 1950-1965.

The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) publishes a journal entitled Science which is often referred to as Science Magazine. The Technical Library offers researchers both the hardcopy in the library and online (1997-current)  Our microfilm collection of Science Magazine goes back to 1883.  Please contact the library if you need an article prior to 1997.

SPIE proceedings include more than 450,000 optics and photonics conference papers spanning biomedicine, communications, sensors, defense and security, manufacturing, electronics, energy, and imaging. Description

SpringerMaterials is a comprehensive database for identifying material properties which covers data from materials science, physics, physical and inorganic chemistry, engineering and other related fields.

The latest addition to the platform, SpringerMaterials Interactive, is a set of advanced functionalities for visualizing and analyzing data. Examples of these functionalities include interactive graphs, dynamic data tables, and side-by- side comparisons of materials/properties.

Description
